Fondazione di Venezia, through its instrumental company Polymnia Venezia, has created the urban regeneration project called M9 which involved the redevelopment of one hectare of land in the center of Mestre following the guidelines of the LEED protocol regarding environmental sustainability, pursuing the the same purpose of social, urban, architectural, economic and historical sustainability.

As part of the territorial participation and active citizenship, the free contest for schools called "M9 Urban Landscape Contest" is presented, which intends to emphasize the themes related to urban regeneration, inviting the classes to get involved and design an urban space.
